I have 20+ years of experience building and leading People teams in high-stakes, rapid-growth tech environments. My two seminal internal roles were with Netscape and Electronic Arts.
Why HR? One of my high school teachers suggested it as a career when I told him I liked psychology but knew I wanted to work in a business environment. He told me about a consultant friend who went into companies and helped people work more effectively together. Because of that, and after a summer internship cold-calling kernel hackers, I knew I had found my vocation.
Why tech? Technology is constantly evolving and requires us to continuously reinvent ourselves, always seeking out and embracing new ways of solving problems. By leveraging an inherent quest for knowledge we can apply our best creativity and analytical thinking skills. I’m a lifelong learner with a passion for supporting people who are driven to create and innovate.
My focus. I strive to be a heat-seeking missile, targeting and eliminating obstacles that block individual, team, and company performance.
Leaders who need quick, laser-focused solutions to the early HR problems that slow down otherwise lean and nimble teams. Together we identify and knockout roadblocks, and put early practices in place that will serve as the People function DNA.
